Terms of Service
These Terms govern access to and use of MicRiffCast, a podcast production service. By applying for or using a Host account, you agree to these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, and the Privacy Policy.
1. The service
MicRiffCast provides tools for preparing, recording, producing, storing, and downloading podcast content. MicRiffCast is not the Host's publisher, streaming platform, broadcaster, agent, or employer. Hosts decide whether, where, and how to publish completed material.
2. Host accounts
- Host access is personal and may not be shared without permission.
- You must provide accurate application and account information.
- You are responsible for protecting Host links, PINs, keys, passwords, and other access credentials.
- MicRiffCast may approve, decline, suspend, or terminate access where reasonably necessary to operate or protect the service.
3. Your content and ownership
You retain ownership of content you create or upload. You grant MicRiffCast limited permission to host, copy, process, display within a production room, record, convert, package, and deliver that content only as needed to provide the service.
You confirm that you have all rights, permissions, releases, and licences needed for material you upload, display, record, or publish.
4. Host responsibility
You are responsible for your podcast, guests, uploaded media, participant permissions, publication choices, and compliance with applicable law. MicRiffCast does not routinely pre-screen every file or statement and does not endorse Host content.
5. Recordings, downloads, and storage
- MicRiffCast aims to provide downloadable production files after a podcast is completed, but no recording or storage system can be guaranteed to be error-free.
- Hosts should download and safely retain their production files.
- MicRiffCast may maintain archived production copies and may apply storage, retention, deletion, or plan limits.
- Archive deletion requests may require processing time and may be delayed where preservation is reasonably required for security, legal compliance, investigation, or backup operations.
6. Suspension and termination
MicRiffCast may immediately restrict or terminate access, remove stored content, preserve relevant records, or take other protective action where it reasonably believes there is illegal activity, exploitation, a security threat, serious policy abuse, or risk to a person, the service, or the public.
7. Service availability and liability
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, MicRiffCast is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost audience, lost revenue, publishing decisions, third-party platform actions, or loss caused by factors outside its reasonable control.
8. Changes and contact
MicRiffCast may update these Terms and may require acceptance of a new version. Questions may be directed through the contact information published on micriffcast.com or supplied in Host communications.
